Hi can anyone help? :?

I've just had a new tyre fitted for my van and noticed how much more pumped up it is. It's a 185R14C and was inflated to 55psi by the tyre centre. I have been running mine at around 38psi.

My van is pure stock Dormobile running on narrow five steel wheels.
Thanks Rob

should be a table on the inside of the petrol flap.

for my 70 on wide fives running 185/70 r14's I follow the table which says
29psi at the front
36-40 psi at the rear

garage replaced a front tyre and inflated it to 40 psi and it was a horrible hard banging ride, lowered it back down to 30 and all good!

My understanding is, that for 'C type' tyres, they should be 30psi at the front and between 38-40 at the back, or 44 at the back if fully loaded

If you follow this link http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/type2.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You will find owners manuals.

All you have to do is scroll down to the year you want and then you can either look at it online or you can download and print yourself a copy.
