Regrettably we have some news concerning this years event.
We are unable to guarantee the amount of space available to us for this years event, and with the continued success of increased attendance each year we have come to the decision that for this year only there will be no Cruise to the Prom.
We have considered alternative locations or changing the format of the day but felt this would detract from the feel of the event.
This decision was not an easy one to make but is felt the team behind the show it is the correct one.
I would like to thank everybody for the fantastic help and support that this snownhas been given, and that without you it wouldn't have been the success it has been.
Please continue to support the event via Facebook and through all your VW forums
Thanks

Thats a real shame :(
I don't mind parking on the Beach, really enjoyed it last year the weather was fantastic. :D

Is that due to people turning up at the front before the cruise actually gets there.....?
No, there's a load more work going on down on the sea front and there will be a huge builders compound there, exact size is tbc, therefore the council are unable to clarify the exact amount of space we can be allocated.
We may have room for 1000, but could also only be given room for 400, so if we get 800 turn up we'd be buggered!!
Plans are already afoot for next years show though.

By the way, I've been really touched by the sheer amount of positive feedback for both the show itself and the decision to cancel this year.
Thanks for your support guys!

Like lots of people I'm gutted been for the last 2 years and it's a great show/ gathering one of the ones I look forward to because of the atomosphe there.

Roll on next year and that the local council pull their fingers out their arses and get the sea front finished it seems to be dragging on and on.
How long does it take to lay a few patting slabs?
