Anyone recommend any of the curtain suppliers that advertise in the VW press, prices all seem about the same. :?

I used these as I was amazed at the choice of fabrics and the lady owner happily sent us out lots of different samples and went the extra mile for us no problem.

Spoke to Joanne earlier and ordered the rails.
Curtains next, no doubt that now means a trip to Dunhelm Mills  I hate this place with a passion

Thanks for the replies.
Froggy does that mean your making your own,I thought about this but my wife pointed out that by the time you've bought the material and costed your time (her time) in making them it would be cheaper to buy from one of the suppliers.
Added bonus,I dont need to go around the various material shops with the costs in time and fuel also.
I hate shopping. :)

We just bought material from dunhelm for £3.99 per m2, bought 4m2 and £3 per m2 for lining material. Mother in law to make, so saved about £100.

I think it s worth doing, so I can spend more on the suspension etc

This is what were planning on doing, my sister who is covering our foam for the RnR bed is going to make the curtains for us so saving money.
The only downside is i have to sort her garden out but its only time not money thats its going to cost me 8)

What material did you go for?
Will 4m2 be enough, when i spoke to Joanne earlier she recommended 6-7 m but not sure if this is to double up the material so that the inside and outside of the curtains are the same pattern.
I have ordered the rail which comes in 5 lengths of 2x2.5 and 3x1.5 metres so 9.5 metres. Curtains are normally 22" drop so willget 2 lengths per 54" width meaning i should need 5 metres of material and the same in lining or have i got itcompletely wrong (as usual!)

i'm looking into changing the curtains and upholstery as well. is 7m at 54" wide about the ageed amount for curains then? anyone know what i'll need for a full width R'nR bed to save me measuring? bit cold outside ;)

cheers

6 mt @ 54" wide will be enough if you haven't got a patten to match, . If your coving a full width bed the fabric isn't wide enough so you need to cut it as it comes of the roll you will need 6.5 mts . Hope this helps.

so i'll need 6metres (at 54") for the curtains and then a further 6.5metres for the bed, is that right?

thanks joanne

So 6m of curtain material and 6m of lining fabric would be enough, does this sound about right?
Also need header tape (?) thinking it might just be cheaper to buy a ready to go set!
