Bought my '71 Deluxe without the front and rear bumper trim last year. :( Found this bumper in a breaker yard yesterday, bought it for the 'splash' plates and the trim. The towbar is a flimsy homemade attempt by someone...

:?: I have the following questions:

- Is the aluminium trims (badly bent) restorable? And how?
- Is the rubber replacable?
- Is there any reason why the 'splash plates' don't fit my Bus?
- Are the bumper brackets standard for an EarlyBay, it looks quite different from those currently on my Bus?

Thanks!

The irons look right, but id say the splash plates are wrong, maybe from a split van?

Re. the trim - repro rubbers are available but the end 'holes' in the trims are needed to hold it in place, so the piece you show that is broken away is probably beyond repair. They can be bent into shape and repolished, but ally welding maybe a bit ott.
