I have a 1776 in a crossover. Engine was running rough and backfiring, loss of throttle. Got it on the back of a transporter to a garage. They said they got it running sweet and then the distributor sheared . They are trying to say this was the problem . Has anyone ever heard of this happening and if so what was the problem that caused it , andy
