between two cars, i cant imagine there are many people on here that use their Bay as their only car, so i'm assuming you have at least two, but does teh daily get left neglected when it comes to general maintanace and keeping tidy?

My daily Audi TT, curently has a whole list of problems;

boost leek
worn top mounts
and reall bad kreeking,

but i havent fixed them, now i know i should spend all weekend in the garage working on it, but instead i plan on taking the camper out for a plesant drive.

am i the only one??

I found that in todays economic climate and what with fuel prices and general bills going up etc that I couldnt justify keeping our reliable, warm, smooth Toyota and tha Bay which lets face it is more a source of fun and weekend pleasure.

So I sold the Toyota

I love my taxfree daily.

Part of the front wheel arch crumbled away on my Passatt when I washed it last. Oh well, some duct tape will sort that for the MOT!

Its no issue for me, the van gets ALL the love :)

quite fortunate have a works van purely for work so doesnt cost me a penny

then Helen has her peugeot partner for work/ general driving good little workhorse to be honest (I know its a peugeot, but boards on top tailgate up me and the dog in the boot looking out to sea on a cold breezy day)I've used it a few times to kip in not a bad single person camper

have the bay off the road which costs me a fortune (stop buying **** hartley) but love it to bits

I want another bug now, hmmmm, I've kind of been given the go ahead on that, we'll see maybe next year

Its not the love I have issues with its the time, too many projects and now she wants to move....

My bay window is my neglected daily driver - my bug is getting ALL my attention at the minute.

Hence, my van looks like this:

And my bug project like this:

Both still have 6 months or more MOT on them though 8)

I'm just glad my van is so dependable *touch wood*

I do find it hard sharing my love. My fault, as I have four cars.

My bay is fairly up together, so not too costly or time consuming on that front. It doesn't get much use, so not much wear and tear either. I will be spoiling it this winter by putting it inside!

I have a Mini Traveller which lives permanently in my garage, so no need to do much with that. It only needs polishing once every two or three years!

My third 'play' car is a mint low mileage Mk4 Escort. It has had to live outside since I lost its inside storage earlier in the year. It is currently up for sale, as I feel four cars is just a bit too much now!

My daily is a Pug 205 diesel. It is always last on the list for washing and polishing, but I've promised it a good 'once over' so long as it gives me another year of reliable motoring in exchange!

Just about to put my other love up for sale audi a8 :(.... took me so long to find a decent low milage one too.

I know how you feel, as I'm like that with my Escort.

Even though it is 'only' an Escort, it too is totally mint, and I'm unlikely to find another like it.

Oh for the technology that would shrink our 'toys' down to Matchbox size when we want to store them, and for them to cost no extra to tax and insure etc!

Would love to drive the Bus daily, but costs too much for the journey I have to go to work. The bay still get all the love, can't remember the last time I washed the Civic or even went into the engine bay.
