I know it is a long shot, but I'm after a rust free LHD drivers door for a '65/'66 bug.

The '65/'66 doors are a two year only part, with larger windows and the chrome handles inside for opening the door.

I'd like some bay dropped spindles and horseshoe plates from Wagenswest also...

you may regret your (very generous) offer......

well done you for being brave enough to offer though...

i've been looking for a swamp cooler if you could find me one whilst your over in the land of the fat man?

Its a nice offer dude but I made this offer once, if your bus gets inspected it just ain't worth the hassle and stuff from VW's gets nicked and damaged more and more from the shippers so who would they blame?
And its not only by unknowns that do the thieving
PS I have a swamp cooler for sale!! oh and some rust free doors :p

Forgot to say welcome to Earlybay and thanks for the generous offer. I shouldn't worry too much about the bits I mentioned in my post, but if you stumble across them... :)

Anyways, welcome to Earlybay :)
Any pictures of the van which is to be yours?

Yea if it's not nailed down then it will go for walkies at the shippers. The guys at the docks will nick anything.

They say stuff is secure at the shippers, thats just crap, you can walk off the street, go into the cars and do what you want!!!!!

I have heard of one split bus a guy here in Cork bought and had shipped to UK, he sent the local recovery guy to collect and the next day he arrived...

..with the wrong bus!

Nobody asked any questions or stopped him as he loaded up and drove out of the dockyard.
