You see something on ebay ( the correct seats for my Deluxe) and they are only about 5 miles away and you decide your going to bid over the odds because you want them so bad and a couple of days into the auction the add is pulled because someones propably made a private offer and propably a lot less than I was willing to pay :x man am I naive, why didnt I just do the same, and what is the point of putting things on auction, why not stick them in the classifieds.

I have to agree with you on that!! It`s really anoying when someone asks for buy it now and you miss out!!

But then i suppose its a good thing for the person on the other end of the deal!! they shift what they need to and get the price they are happy with!!

One of those things i suppose but yes, very annoying

I don't want to teach anyone to suck eggs here, but isn't the simple answer to ask if they'd accept an offer as soon as you see the ad?

I did this and got a full set of VW to Porsche adaptors for £50!!!

Like they say, if you don't ask you don't get...

Shame you missed out on the seats though - they sound perfect for you!



P.S. - It's cheaper to submit a listing on eBay and then pull it than it is to submit a classified!
