Having read all this and experiencing the same problem with my JK cab door rubbers, is it worth me getting rid of the JK rubbers altogether that I bought as a kit (cab seals, windows seals etc. - some still un-opened) and getting Status VW versions? Have people had similar experiences with windows rubbers too?

Cheers

Steve

I fitted some Status ones a couple of week ago to my cab doors. No trimming, no hassle, just went into position and the doors shut. :)

Ive just got 2 impoted doors, slider and a tailgate so i need to order a comp cab door rebuild kit for both sides (everything included), slider window and door rubbers, tailgate window and door rubber and an enginge bay seal.

Where is the best status or custom and commercial, was a bit shocked when i was looking a ststus, thought the price was ok, then it adds VAT on top so spending £500 puts another £75 on top Call me tight.

was going to get it at Bristol Vf but status wasnt there. So will have to oreder in the next few days.

They're £77 plus postage from Status - How does £70 sound and I can take them to Bristol Volksfest with me? Mine have never been fitted, I just doubled up on my order coz I'm a tit!!!!!!!

I've used spray attack glue from B&Q on mine, it's held them well. As for the doors sitting proud, I've had to trim the n/s door seal slightly but you can't see where once it's fitted. The o/s door is shutting fine........

spot on mate, :D i will be at bristol on the sunday, but if you are going on the sat, i have a mate who is going for the weekend and can arrange for you to meet him

Did you go to the show then? I was autojumbling all weekend and brought the rubbers back home with me :?:
