Liked the idea of going to my final resting place in this though

Picked up an NOS locking fuel cap, front grill trims & clock that is as good as NOS.

Was it me or were some of the overseas dealers prices a bit on the high.
I spotted a pair of rear late deluxe trims minus the rubbers and just thought i'd enquire out of curiosity.

I was shocked when told they were £200 for the pair

I paid £100 for a complete set with front rubbers a while back.

Wish I could of gone but I had to catch up with work having had the previous week off so it was fitting a Mondeo cambelt and fiesta diesel fuel pump for me,boring  And my camper needs some spanner loving too

I bought a lot.

Pair of tyres, a stainless zorst, spare reverse light lense, new slider bottom roller, spare westy mossie net, bag of 'various' early parts, oh, and a westy awning

It was good and Im 'sorted' for the year ahead now. 8)

Hey Kempy, you are right on the button with that comment....I went with Gadget Boy and we too were suprised at the prices our foreign cousins were charging, e.g. £40 for a pair of original American spec red rear lenses and frames....I walked about 5 metres to another stall and picked them up for £15 :D

the dutch guys in the middle of the back area seamed to be the harshest in pricing, and the was a bloke upstairs asking the earth for porsche rims.
but i stumble across some guy from belgium and scoped a 091 6rib for 200 notes. fingers crossed it doesnt turn out to be a very expensive paper weight

I bought my awning off them. We played hardball, and walked away .... he chased us across the main hall and did the deal on our terms in the end. ;)

Still cost us, mind ... :?

The UK guy's seemed to have the fairest prices.

I haggled the fuel cap down from £55 to £50 but still felt at £55 it was a good price. As for the clock I picked it up checked it over and asked for the price expecting it to be in the £100 mark.

As soon as he told me it was £60 and fully working and had the original stickers etc.. on the back I quickly paid him.

I didnt buy anything but my mate who came in my van with me bought a set of BRM wheels which will look cool on his rat EB.

Also I broke down 2 miles from the site luckily it was just one of the connections had come off the battery so no major panic I blame bumpy country roads (and me lowering the van).

Decided a need more power though because we got onto the A38 just behind 3 more vans and 2 beetles in a mini convoy and within 10 mins they had vanished out of sight I did manage to over take a cross over though surely that counts for something lol.
