Early RHD Bay - Very Nice OG Van

Hi,
This is a early bay that I have just put onto the water from South Africa, it runs great and is one of the most original early bays I have come across. It was a township school bus and has just been made redundant. The paint is good and looks OG mainly and the panel work good, with a few small dents etc, I can only find rust in the cab floor sections and the battery tray which will be sorted in the price.
The van will come MOTed and UK registered in the price.

Picked the van uo today and it is very nice, I have edited the price above due to the fact there is rust in the cab floor and battery tray, we will weld in the new panels in the price, MOT and Register. If you want a camper interior we can supply this asswell at additional costs. This van woll be ready for next week if anyone is interested.

Should be MOTed by the end of the week now, not had to do much at all, just putting on a brand new carb. I will be taking it to Vanwest if anyone is interested..£6750 registed etc.

this rhd earlybay is as good as you can get why hasn`t it sold ????someone is missing out. I`ve inspected this bus and can say it`s a good one.

Thanks it is a very nice bus and do not know why it has not sold straight away...but it will sell within time :lol: , did you see it at the Bristol show?

You should buy it...everyone needs more vw's in their life , it was listed at a higher price at Bristol aswell, you chaps on here get a knock down price

Ok, does not look like this one is selling as is, which I find strange as it is one of the best early bays I have come across. I will be putting this one into a respray and fitting a complete camping interior made in our oak veneer and I will go with peoples thoughts on lowering and putting onto some diff wheels. If any one is intrested before respray then the colour can be decided by them. If not I will be keeping it the OG colours.

Ok, the work has started this week on the van, so will no longer hgave OG paint but will be very straight and will be going back into OG colours as before. At that stage I will MOT and reg etc, but it will be a drive away bus.

Is there any rust on the bodywork(arches, sills etc.....).im very interested.Had enough of rust. Would bath it in waxoil n drive.Ware in the uk are you? May be able to view this weekend. 07996386788 cheers

Hi,
The bus is very rust free and the small amount of it which is under the rubber mat in the cab floor will also be done in the, it is not a mot fail but this will make it very solid all round, the sills and arches and in fact every part of the bus is OG and the bus has never been worked on.

The bus has now been put into primer and I hope to be in paint next week. If you want to view this weekend that os no problem, again give me a call, at this stage if you put a deposit down i could respray what ever colour you liked, but bare in mind it is red inside etc.
