Dont no how far you lot whant to go but i always go a bit west to newgale and they let dogs in the top feild i would say its about two and a half hours from me in barry just a sugestion guys and you also got rossili bay down the gower porthcawl,further west you go the better and the waters cleaner!!! (only a suggestion and i might tag along if thats cool not the best at surfing but learning)

thanks for the suggestion, that campsite looks nice and close to the beach. only prob for me is that its 20 miles further for me than going to saunton Hmmmmm.

JUst love it at saunton dude...... the idea (for me) was to cut the mileage and find somewhere closer than north devon to go for a surf, this newgale sorts the dog issue but not the distance. The site does look good but i've just read the dreaded "and no longer allow dogs on site" on there website................. bugger, my pooch has a lot to answer for!

there are two or three fields in newgale and when i take the dog we go in the top field over looking the bottom camp site and the beach the farmer has no problem with dogs up there music fires etc and then its two min drive down the hill and we can park the vans up on the front of the beach and its only a fiver a night but its up to you guys its your trip and its a bit further will see if i can dig out some pics if you like of the top feild thats if i can find them

you can see the bottom field by the beach and you can park right by the beach

So you can take dogs if you camp at the top of the hill and you get that fantastic view? sounds like a good deal to me.
What does everyone else reckon?

The wife asks if we camp up the top field how far are the loo's?
