Evening all -
even though my engine isn't even running yet. I can't help but think about electric fuel pumps. I had a mk1 golf before and used an electric fuel pump and liked having a kill switch hidden under the dash so I could switch it off when it was laid up - making it a little less easy to dissapear in!

I had motorbike carbs on that, in turn I used a motorbike fuel pump. They're self regulating and run at 1.5-3 ish psi - I'm trying to get my head round the possibility of using that kind of pump with a standard carb - would there be a reason I couldn't? I've got a spare pump in the garage so would be no cost in popping it on there at some point. I would otherwise buy a pump/regulator but would like to keep them out of the engine bay which is much easier with a bike pump as they can be mounted out of the way - almost fit and forget.

Thoughts would be appreciated...
