Need help with the warning lights on the dashboard.
The lights to say that i have headlights / full beam dont work and only 1 of the indicator warning bulds light up.
When i first turn the key i get the oil and gen lights up so just wandering if its something stupid like the bulbs have blown. Are they bulbs, are they easy enough to change?
Is there anything else it could be as i dont think its a poor earth as i still have dash illuminations when the headlights are switched on.
Also when the fuel drops to about 1/4 full the needle bounces at the very hint of a bump, any ideas?

they have bulbs behind the clocks , disconnect the speedo cable , undo 4 screws and pull clock pod out , the bulbs are in twist out holders and the bulbs are 286 types 8) the bulbs can be bought for around 50p each , also check the feeds to them , remeber the holders earth to the clock backs

Ah bonser 8) Great post, I have the same problem! I'll jump onto it when I actually have chance... :?

Froggy, let me know how you get on!

Or here 286 is the bulb type.

was just about to say the same clarkson 8)
you can also get the 286 in LED's too , not sure if anyones done clocks with them ?
i replaced the bulbs in the 68 the other week and i had some 286's in green in garage  , but they have green filter in the clocks anyway  so white went in 8)

I would avoid using an LED for the gen light. The gen light bulb supplies 12 volts to the alternator to initialize it. An LED will not supply this voltage in the same way.
