hi all

has anyone ever made a rear engine brace bar with any success? i have two problems

1. its sligtly twisted (not by me, looks like they tried towing off it or something) an generally not very pritty

2. its catching on the floor :D

i only want to get it higher than the heat exchangers for the lowering issue, but just wondered what thickness box etc you'd used.
other option was to mod a cross over support bar to solve the problem

any other thoughts?

cheers

dave

A '72on engine support bar is made from 1" box section...different at the ends though to a pre '72 bus.

Check out Evil Bens Slice and dice,On his blog-going to do this mod for sure ;)

I chopped the bottom of mine out and welded some more metal to stop it catching on every thing. Seems to have made quite a bit of difference.

got this to try for now :D
was going to make one like this but it popped up on ebay local to me while searching, an at just shy of £4 hopefully do the job and cheaper than buying both and cutting and modding to fit :)
