engine seal

just been changing my oil and noticed that behind the fan housing the tinware dosn't meet the body...is this perhaps a beetle engine thats been put in my bay? Does anyone have a clue and can it be sorted? Cheers

Sounds like you have a Beetle over gearbox tin, does it sort of slop off, the early bay one are sort of squarer. there is a correct early bay one for sale on ebay.
