I know it's nothing to do with earlybay.But I saw this Escort Dormobile on ebay and thought it was kind of cool.I've never seen one before.

There was one on ebay a couple of years or so ago, which had done a ridiculously low mileage, I forget now, but something like only a thousand miles, if that. It was just gorgeous! 8)

Saw this mag at the local supermarket and it does look to be the same car, love classic fords but for me its got to be either a capri or a mk2 escort mexico or rs2000

Been looking up till recently for a reasonable MK1 Scort 2 door for a daly, had a few (loads) in the past. They go for silly money now so ive decided to get my Bay resprayed instead :mrgreen: .

I had loads of mk2 escorts when I was a teen and most of them went to scrap or sold cheaply.My favoutite mk2 was a 2 door with an x pack fitted and a 2.1 pinto engine(rear end out action heaven) .But I also had a 1300XL mx1 escort which was a bit ratty,I resprayed it with aerosol midnight blue but I loved it.I would love to have that mk1 escort still,I sold it for £100 around 1996.

I saw a newish Landy with a Dormy roof just the day before yesterday. I think, same as the bay ones, the Dormobile company of today still make them.... or they were. Not sure if it is still trading?

Not entirely sure that Mk1 Escorts were best suited to camping though....

This is my previous 'toy'.....

Ran it in the Welsh Historic Rally Championship for a few years, some success but more importantly massive fun! Would buy one again if funds allowed!!!
