...but enough about my daughter! :p :p :p
Seriously, someone should have warned me that buying a Camper 3 months before your first child is born was not the brightest idea!!

Stupid question time: How dangerous is it to use a grinder near the engine? I went to remove my rear bumper last night to find it's been spot welded on

Should be ok. Make sure there are no obvious fuel leaks. Angle the grinder away from the vehicle.

protect glass on the bus or cars nearby - wear goggles of course - metal in your eye hurts [I've been 3 times now to get metal removed from my eyeball with a long green needle and it kills]

I second that. I did a bit of work on my bus and was showering my company car in sparks. Paintwork was fine but it made a real mess of the glass.
