cheers mate, oh and whoever said the JK light repros were nasty was right! I'm chuffed with the factory reverse lights a member hooked me up with though the quality difference is massive!

the current wish list is the 3 deluxe trim pieces on the corners and tailgate, i have the rear sides and they will go again. and also a tailgate seal

Oh and the voltage regulator on the alternator is probably goosed if anyone has one of those!

got a load of other parts for windows etc but waiting to do some interior work before i refit the windows.

Right bit of an update. Now all wired up and original engine built back up with new ancillaries.

Eventually it fired into life and we were timing it up when one of the pushrod tubes started leaking very badly so we had to stop, perhaps this was the cause of the fire originally?
Does anybody know a supplier that does replacement pushrod tubes preferably telescopic ? I have been reading the plastic ones are no good?

Also when it was running there something was knocking a bit inside like a quiet rattle... when i changed the fuel pump part of the old plastic debris fell down into the case i suspect this will hopefully clear/melt/settle into the sump once engine up to speed :) (i know its not the "correct" way of going about things but its pretty much a bonus that the engine runs at all it didn't sound too bad to be fair but we had to cut it short due to the oil spill I'm trying to avoid a rebuild.

Will add some new pics soon interior next.

Cheers
Mat
