Hi Folks

Silly question - whats the best way to fix a number plate to the front bumper?

I want to locate the plate in the centre of the bumper - e.g. not hanging below.

The brackets I've seen seem to be designed for hanging the plate off the bumper.

Thanks, Nigel

Mine and lots are mounted on the front bumper but my holes were already drilled , Just please don`t put it on the front panel

wot Grazy said. mine is through the lower section of the front panel. looks ***** n puts unwanted holes in an oh so perfect look

I have got this dilema at the moment, mine was stuck to the front panel above the bumper with sticky pads, but i dont know where to fit my new Californian plates, at the moment its sat on the dash, it may even stay there!

My Cali import came with standoff adjustable brackets with the US plates on,so it's probably worth trying some of importers, easy to fit your new plates with them.

Took a trip to B&Q bought a pack of 2 black doors stops (N190) and then picked up a couple of 6x40mm black nuts and bolts - after a bit of trimming of the doors stops to the profile of the bumper and careful measuring and drilling new number plate fitted! As the door stop is rubber got a crumple zone too.....
