Hi, we've got some lovely new black and silver aluminium number plates, a new welded front panel and a new paint job! Any suggestions on how we can merge the three with minimal impact? Should we go for bumper mounting? I quite like the positioning above the bumper but I also like the unblemished paintwork and the new rust free, hole free front panel!
Cheers, Lisa [emoji2]

good quality double sided tape? Neodymium magnets sticked onn the plate with 3M double sided tape that´s what I use.

I've gone above the bumper and got some heavy duty number plate fixing tape also from Halfords. I have used these strips on most of my cars too and if you remove the plate at anytime you just need to get a can of adhesive remover.

Was helping richbaker78 attach his front number plate on tuesday night

Think he should change the 78 on his username to 007 ;)

That's very swish! A bit advanced for my needs though. [emoji23]

Tiz a bit over kill.

I've mounted mine on the bumper for the same reason as you (didn't want to cover the lovely shiny new panel). I used self tapping screws with black plastic covers like this

ive fixed to the bumper using a standoff bumper bracket....
id rather drill holes in the bumper than the front panel.

there are other types as well

Personally I just pop riveted mine on! My paint job is crap anyway and I couldn't find any decent quality self tappers lying around. If you don't want to drill anything, I'd go with the strong magnets glued to the back of your number plate. Never had much luck with the tape myself tbh.

I was in the same boat, new front panel and bumper so I decided to mount it under the bumper and I love it. It's out of the way and doesn't interfere with the clean lines, I posted it here: http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=70246&p=568330#p568330

Id always go for bumper mounting, but don't be afraid of drilling. A van will always need a number plate, so mounting holes will always bee needed.

Went with number plate tape and they're still on, but it hasn't moved off the drive yet ha ha so fingers crossed [emoji23]
