Hi all thinking of adding a table maybe one of those skim/surf board tops, but would like some info on how easy the table leg mount is to fit,i have laminated floor so is it a case of cutting a hole in the floor and screwind down or do i have to cut into the floor...Rowan

Depends on how deep your laminate is, wether you've battened it or not, are you requiring a flush floor mount if not you can use the table top mount on the floor as well saves cutting the floor, most people however want the flush fit....

If you have a free standing table i.e not attached to the side of the van, then you will usually have to bolt the mount through the floor of the van.

I have belly pans on mine and have cut a hole in the pan (which is secured by stainless screws and sealant so I can access the mount under the van floor.

The depth of your laminate or flooring is whats key, as If you have a deep floor of ply and laminate you will not have to cut a recess in the metal floor (to get the flush mount for the leg) most people will have to cut a bigger hole in the floor to put the leg mount into.

Remember measure 30 times and cut once

Also see wether you want to have the table up at the same time the bed is out, as you can have the table up and the bed out together but if its in the wrong place then you cant, and what are you gonna put your mug of hot choc on before bed!

Have a play around and see where is the perf place then get the drill out and its on! 8)

 I would be in trouble if I even considered doing that

My bus had the floor mounted table holder thingy - and the hole in the cargo area floor to go with it!
Now welded up, it was a rust trap!
I think there's probably better ways to mount a table without cutting your bus up - it's only a table after all!!

;)
