Front badge location

Can someone let me know the distance between the lower edge of the grill and the top edge of the VW emblem badge. Just removed the spare wheel on the front and want to fit a badge back on. I would guess about 80mm, but would prefer to get it right.

Photo is my old van, which I think had the badge a bit higher up than most.

The badge is off mine a.t.m. so measured from the edge of grille appeature down to the centre of badge mounting holes = 71mm. so in your pic from your top point,dropping down to the top two holes that the badge goes into.When the badge is fitted then obviously the distance between then grille appeature and badge top will be less.
