Hi all
Just removed the front beam today 72 crossover
Question 1
Do you get instructions" how to fit them" with adjusters ?
Question 2
Where can I buy plates to replace the original mountings ?
Question 3
If I shorten the beam by 1" each end will it cause problems running stock wheels ? "Reason for shortening want to put dropped spindles on at as later date "
THANKS.......

OH QUESTION 4
Am I right in thinking that if I shorten the beam 1" each side, I have to shorten the tierod by 1" each side ,or is there more to it than that regards to how much I cut off ?

yup thats about right

Q1 Not usually

Q2 Check usual suspects magazines,VZi,E-bay

Q3 Should be ok

Q4 Might have to cut slightly more off, you'll have to use 2adjustable ones.Cut it off the RHthreaded end, itseasier to get a tap and also cheaper, extend the slot and put anew groove in for pinch bolt. You,ll also have to shorten torsion bars and redrill dimples. Also if axle is in good condition leave it alone and buy one with rotten shock towers.Have done a few its a messy and dirty job.If you need anymore info send a PM or phone 07979460118.Good luck with it. Steve

Cheers Steve will do "beam towers shagged thats the reason im going to replace them ,was going to buy a new beam but for what I would have payed I can get adjusters and prob end plates Cheers

ive got a set of end plates i was going to use on my beam from the guys at the bus station. but when i removed the original metalwork at the end of my beam the spring tubes were knackered. i'll be at dubfreeze on sunday if you want a set of end plates cheep.
