front beam

hay dudes
have a problem with beam it feels very loose when going over bumps it feels like the whole thing moves,or the wheels or track rod ends dont no. all feels solid buy touch but dont no alot about the front beam any info would be much appreciated

Jack the front end up, put axle stands under the chassis and then you can have a good look around. When the bus has it's weight on the ground it can be very difficult to find problems. My brother had a bad knock on his bus and it was the track rod totally shot, quite scarey.

yes mate your quite right
i got my daughter to sit in the bus and turn the steering well on the ground and it is clunking like a gooden lots of noise coming from the box that holds the worm and peg and a fair bit of play ,it has a cut and turned beam on the van when i bought it but it feels dodgy as when driving
:shock: but like you say get it of the ground and have a scan.Can you get new worm and peg box?

Not as far as I am aware, but you can have them reconditioned. From places like T2d or Megabug. Not the best but better than a worn one.
