how much work is involved in un-stitching a front panel from a imported front clip? iv seen that front panel for sale and although tempted i cant afford it, so do i A. go for late front and convert it to early or B. get a front clip and take the front panel off that???

cheers in advance.

Have you seen the custom panel Schofield does?
It's about £200..
I bought mine in advance for my resto, the quality isn't bad but will still need work....mainly the indicator housings don't fit!!!
Theres a helluva lot of spot welds holding the front panel on if you go down the clip route, mainly around the air intake and although it looks like it's only folded around the 'a' posts it's welded just on the bulge!
Hope this helps!

I got a late top half and early bottom half from GSF. Fabricated my own hi light block offs and then cut the bottom edge of the top half and joggled a lip and tacked them together.
