Not sure a weedeater for a '57 van will fit a '68 van. I know the later split beams from about 64 onwards will fit as my brothers '69 bay has a cb performance beam fitted and that went on ok have a look in the gallery to see what it looks like with a narrowed beam, sorry I can't be of more help to you, it might be worth giving creative a ring as i'm sure they will be able to tell you
