Can anyone help, van has just failed mot on headlights/pattern of beam.
The current units are the three screw rims upto 72, i have heard that the later units can be fitted and are a fraction of the cost of new >72 units and is more powerful... possible better?
Someone had mentioned something about welding in new tabs?
Does anyone do a how to article or is it best left to the original item??

has anyone changed the one year only brakes to the latter spec? :?:

Have you got halogen bulbs fitted? I was considering upgrading my headlights when one failed for a duff reflector but in the end just got a new unit and halogen bulbs, nice and bright!

i have now fitted brand new originals after selling my right leg on ebay. yes the reflectors were slightly rusty on one although the other looked fine, h4 bulbs now fitted! I have since been told it is possible to buy the reflectors seperatly.....never mind at least i'm back on the road! :D

have you fitted rear belts into your machine- need them for baby seat! :?

A couple of companies advertise reflectors but don't actually have any!

When i got the bay it had static belts up front, so i fitted new recoil belts from just kampers up front and put the static ones in the back. Mine is based on a kombi so it has the mounting holes under the rear bench. I need to secure the rear cushions though as they slide from under people!

I now have 73-79 rear brakes as the linkage was improved and can be adjusted better plus the brake shoes are easier to get hold of. Haven't done the fronts but if i change them it will be to something aftermarket and more powerful.
