Front VW badge on 1972 Bay

My 1972 (cross-over year) does not have the front VW badge. Does anyone know what the original one fitted to this year - i.e White, chrome, 7 inch or 12 inch?

Hello anyway.
Smaller plastic badge fitted from start of 1973 MY.
So you would originally have had a larger white metal badge fitted.

10 inch as for colour , white or chrome depends on what you want - however o.g. ones are getting harder to get try the samba

Saw a very nice crossover with a small badge the other day, looked very strange to me with everything else looking spot on. the front of a crossover is early bay, so put the big badge on, obv. not the splitty one
