Hi all, just busted my window screen re-fitting it :cry:

anybody got one local to mansfield?

or can suggest a good supplier who will fit too maybe?

Is your bus insured?

Couldnt you just claim on the windscreen excess and get autoglass or someone to replace it?

stuF, yep insured but in a state of obvious restoration/project (cracked screen brand new / located with other vw's in various states of resto)

Did exactly that when I did the same as you. Nice shiny new laminated one and fitted for me! Funny thing was, it wouldn't fit intitially, it was too tall! Explain that one! Anyways, he took it away, had it adjusted and came back a couple of days later and fitted it.

Definately worth the glass excess to save the hassle and of course it is new!
 
Get in contact with Strongy on here. He's in Lincoln and does windscreen repairs. He'll point you in the right direction.
 
pilkington glass make brand new ones , i saw them at the nec, they have a classic vehicle dept,[google it ]
reasonable prices im lead to believe.. ;)
 
Thanks people for helping out,
managed to get a brand new one from "aussie rod" at Newark for a reasonable price,and only half hr away.
just hope i dont break this one :shock:

anyway,back to polishing the louvre
