Fuel additives ?

What do you chaps do with running these old motors and new fuels ? Do you use lead replacements added to the fuel. Do you just replace the heads ?
 
Non for me and have run the standard engine through literally thousands of miles without any issue whatsoever!

Have used all sorts of fuels from supermarket, to main brand through to unknown types from Spanish/Italian/French stops whenever I needed to.

Dont think these old engines need any particular additive - if they did I certainly havent felt anything lacking
 
As Trikky says not needed, strange thing is some engines sold are "green engines"? i once asked what was different between a green recon and a normal recon was, and reply was told different heads?? very odd as new heads are suitable for unleaded.

Thats how they put the Con in recon.
