Gear box leak

Looks like I got a leaky one,where is it most likely to come from and can you get new seals,cus I can't find any

Hi Rich,
I replaced my front gearbox oil seal when I redid my engine over the winter.
Bit of a bugger to get out but got there in the end and replaced with new one from VWH.
It was the one from around the shaft that goes into the engine.
I put new oil in to the box so replaced the PTFE tape on the upper and lower filling and
draining holes. No leaks since. I have since learnt that there is a breather hole on the top side of
the box near the nose cone. Think Sparky mentioned it in one of his answers recently.
Engine out job, again if it is the box. Does the oil smell real bad ? or just like engine oil burnt.
Should help decide where its coming from. Hope it helps.

Got under it but it's not the box, :lol: ..it's the engine the card board that under it to soak up the oil from the engine has soaked up more then it holds and looked like it was the box
