Gearbox advise

Can anyone tell me if a 72 gearbox can be fitted to a 71 ?
Or does anyone have an early box for sale

Yes the box will fit. Check the nose cone bracket is the same, if not swap it over.

So it's just a case of swapping the nose cone bracket ?

If the one on your replacement gearbox is not the correct one then use the one on your old gearbox.

Yup, there will be two "ears" on the top of yours that won't get used, but that's it. The only problem I've run into on mine is that whenever I re-fit the engine I try to bolt the engine up through one of those ears. Because I'm a moron.

The bus came without a box and I'm not familiar with bay box's, so I need an early bracket ? Are those the ones that butty reproduces ??
