Hi, have a bit of a scratch on our windscreen. Worried that when the bus finally goes for an MOT it will get an advisory or worse :( . Has anyone had a positive experience with those kits you can get with grinding pastes, discs etc. off fleabay. About £25/£30.

I used one some years back on a passat windscreen that had a few light scratches and to be fair it did work to a degree but you have to be carful and keep the spinning disc nice and damp as you working and not to leave it in one place for very long took some time too do mind .
Another vehicle I took to a windscreen place and they polished the glass and made my efforts look feeble and made the glass almost like New . Think it was about 50 notes but was a few years back .

Might be worth it if your planning on doing the whole screen . Plus it does take ages with simple tools . The pros have the proper kit and fly through it lol
