I need help in buying a bay, just someone I can ask advise and send links to from time to time for a second opinion. None of my mates are interested in bays so I'm stuck. :?

This forum mate !! , if i were you i would specify your ideal bus/van/pick up try and include as much detail as possible ,

What will you be using the vehicle for , how many persons will be using it ,

Do you want an already done bus or do you want a blank canvas so to speak .

And the big one , whats the budget !!!

Just want a nice example tin top sunroof no welding, straight, og paint, if a nice og Westy comes along with a complete interior fair enough. I don't mind doing the mot work, don't mind fitting engine if needed. What I can't do for now is strip for painting, besides I prefer the traditional look. Whatever I get my total spend is about 13000. Seen a nice Westy on samba but it's missing louvred window and sink which is going out of my reach at the moment.

Use this thread mate.
Everyone who looks could have an opinion. One person may spot something that everyone else misses.

I really like this one but missing a few bits.

for the money it is and I would have to make it complete inside ;) the total price goes up. :(

Sorry trebor I've not replied to your last pm.
Bit hectic here at mo.
Yes the red westy looks nice. Hard to tell for sure by the pics alone !

I'm just concerned about staying in control with the money. I need to buy once and buy right. Shame this is the later model :(

If u wonna buy right n buy once then this is not for u!
If your not happy it's a crossover then what's the point of starting out with a bus that doesn't tick the boxes !

Are u gonna look at the westy on eBay in Essex. It's up to around 5k now.
Bit of a distance for u I guess ?

That one has some nasty dents in it, how the hell would you get them out ? They look below the floor line.

Id want an airfilter if I was shelling out 15 grand.

Dont mind offering free advice if you need it mate, happy to give second opinions, I seem to do it all the time.

I would rather help someone buy the right bus in the first place rather than them jumping in and buying one they see and take a punt on, not a lot of good buses coming from the US at the moment. Thought you were after a tintop?

Where in hampshire are you? I think I might have asked before. If its southampton way there is a very good local specialist that is more than happy to offer advice and checks etc.

As for one with dents you will be amazed at what a decent body shop can hammer out. Have a look on my meeting poppy thread to give you an aide

J.
