Gutted, just swapped from empi 5 spoke to original steels and bought a lovely shiny set of stainless steel caps.

First trip out, driving great, got home and one has fallen off...I guess the clips must have been a little bent.

Do most just bend the clips back or replace?
I guess metal will fatigue and get less springy if done too much.

Any other tricks to keep them on?

PS was stroud to Bristol if anyone drives over it! Drove all way back...like I was going to find it again.

Exactly the same happened to me a few years ago at the Tewkesbury junction of the M5 - maybe it is like the Bermuda Triangle for VW vans... anyway, only real solution is to replace the hub cap clips. It's not an expensive or hard job to do, and you'll notice the difference instantly when you fit / remove a hub cap with them.

If your clips are knackered, just replace the rivets with pop rivets

Too much of a fart on with the proper ones/proper tool as the modern clips are thinner.

Pop's work just as well and take seconds to drill out if the clips snap again. (Which they will)

You do them so the top end is in the inside of the wheel to avoid fouling the drum when the wheels fitted.
