Head lamp question

Hi all

Can someone answer this for me when I put the side lights on the light on the dash that tell you it's on illuminates but when I put the dip beam on the light goes out again. :roll:
Ideas please.

The light on the dash is a sidelight telltale to warn the side lights are still on. Not needed for headlights since they go out with the ignition.

Saves a flat battery. Wish some modern cars had the same :lol:

I see I thought I had a problem and as I'm doing work behind the dash I thought I should get it sorted.

Ok so I've now sorted out the other little problem's

But can someone tell me why the main beam telltale light is only a very small lit blue Square and not like the other telltale lights? :roll:

No idea why it isn't like the others but our westy and my sisters pick up are both the same
