heater boxes with rear notches

What are you guys doing with your heater boxes and accordion tube when you notch the rear of your bus. I have done a set of tube notches in the frame and am curious if the end of the heater box and tube gets in the way of the axle? I have a set of custom bendable stainless accordion tubes that I was planning on tucking up high out of the way and wrapping with fibreglass exhaust wrap to insulate.
