I have the hook up on the side of my bus which is not used and I want to remove it and put a flat cover on it.
Does one exist and from whom ? or anyone got one gathering dust in the garage. :D ?
cheers

Hey Howie,

I have a blanking plate on mine that is aluminium and a good fit, I'll see if there is any markings on it for you,
looks better than a plastic blanking plate.

What condition is your hook up? it the standard U.S one ?

Hey Paul,
No its not in good condition and has no internal parts.
Its missing the small cover plate underneath as well that covers the plug connectors (that aren't there)
When i get a blanking plate your welcome to it but not sure you could put it to any use !!!

No worries, I'll check out that cover tomoz mate when I get the van out. :)

been looking at some threads on here and seen quite a few different hook ups so not sure what, where, how mine came to be !!!!
Anyway, picture here and has anyone used a cover plate to replace this type ?
Paul (Myvanway) yours looks to be quite a bit smaller hence me looking to see what other peeps have got?

Anybody any the wiser ?

What do you want, just a flat cover that bolts on as per the socket? Pretty sure nothings made to replace the US socket, something would more than likely need to be fabbed, or the hole welded up and the panel painted.

Yeah, just a flat cover to replace the socket as not worried about welding the hole.
Was kinda hoping that there was a vw cover plate out there but looking at other hook ups there all different in size's so was obviously not an option.

I think it was a pretty standard socket used by Westy on there conversions, quiet a few come up for sale, but it wasn't a VW option. Looks like a DIY plate will be needed. If you want paint, get your paint code, and go to a car paint suppliers, they can mix up a tin of aerosol to match your bus, not cheap tho, maybe £15.00 or so.
