How to find a previously owned VW?

Slightly off topic and poss better on the VZI site but...
When I was younger we lived in Norway and bought a yellow LHD beetle there which we subsequently imported into the UK in 1982 I think. We have the previous Norwegian number plates so I may be able to call the DVLA and find out exact but we managed to remember most of the number plate and then played around with the numbers when nothing turned up. Eventually we hit on a result. Ours used to be yellow and this is red (assuming it's a Beetle)
So results from the DVLA website were:

That part would suggest that it has not been taxed since 2000, Maybe its tucked away somewhere.. or in the worst case gone to VW heaven above..

Thanks for the help - wasn't sure what the Date of Liability meant.
My van has been SORN'ed since 2001 so hopefully this could be the same...I guess I need to call DVLA and see if they will give me the info...

Why does it list the price for road tax ?

I just searched some ones reg off here and there was no price for road tax :?

It depends on the year, and wether the vehicle is tax exempt (manufactured pre '73)

Right...My van is a 72 0HN 908L Registed on 9/72 So should be Tax exempt
But there is still a price for Tax

just searched another three vans off here and there is no price for tax
listed :?
