The family have missed the Westy tin top we sold earlier this year and want to get back into another bay. Got £10K (poss a bit more) to spend but it must be RHD and four birth (two children/two adults so probably a pop top or cot/bunks etc. I have nothing against LHD's but aiming for a Righty this time.

Ideal van would be a RHD Westy (dreaming!) or a Dormobile. Early/Crossover/Late not bothered

Not really into custom stuff like metallic paints/chrome etc more original the better and ideally not welded to an inch of its life in the past. I can do mechanics and interiors but not welding/bodywork.

Whats out there?

I have a 1969 Californian Import Westy that has had no welding and original paint. Full width bed in the back and hammock in the pop top. It's a lhd but could be converted if it was a must. Newly recon engine with loads of new parts.

I can send photos if you are interested as they are too big to post on the thread.

I know! we had a look at a Righty today and it was awful, talk about no pride in your work looked like snot welding everywhere :(

Whilst we really did want a RHD I think we may have to settle on a LHD.. I had no issue with my old Lefty

The best van I've seen was already sold.. gutted

We've got a RHD 1969 Bay, South African import for sale. Originally a church mini bus from 1969-2004, we converted into camper with a Devon interior. Rock solid bus that was imported in 2004, we are the only UK owners, only used in the summer months.
