Speedman is you man, but using what I have learnt from him in the last week, I'll give it a bash...

12 032 947
The first digit dictates the model year, ie 1971
The second digit I thought suggest a Type 2, but Speedman says this is a 1970's vehicle.
The remaining digits are your serial number

060651 A41 042 141 191

0606 are your exterior colour, I think this is 06 Pastel White upper and 06 Pastel White lower
51 is you interior - dark beige leatherette

A41 is for uk spec, speedo in miles, RHD headlamps etc.
042, I'll leave for Speedman
141 something like passenger side heating...?
191 outer and inner under belly pans...?

37 2 7514 EN 2340 11

37 2 is the date your bus was built in 1971, wk 37 second day ie Tuesday
7514 is a code no-one is really sure what it is for
EN bus was exported directly to Engalnd
234 - Kombi, RHD, sliding door on left
011 - Standard 50hp engine, manual transmission.

As Harlequin said, all info is available on type2.com website.

Not bad  I've filled in the blanks I can.....

042, I'll leave for Speedman - its one of the mysterious "missing" codes, theres a few around
141 something like passenger side heating...? - heater outlet in rear cargo compartment
191 outer and inner under belly pans...? - with outer and inner underfloor pans (belly pans)

37 2 is the date your bus was built in 1971, wk 37 second day ie Tuesday - tuesday 8th September 1970
7514 is a code no-one is really sure what it is for - temporary serial number

2340 - Kombi, RHD, sliding door on left Standard version

....i'll try and mock up something tonight that shows what each part of the plate means, theres a useful guide in my book for it :D

I use the VW Transporter and Microbus Specification Guide 1967-1979 by Vincent Molenaar & Alexander Prinz, itsreally easy to use and gives hints for decoding that other websites don't seem to show.....
