And I've lost my posts :?
Gavin from Durham, can't remember if my user name was Chiefy or not on here??
I had a 71 bay and as the wife didn't like it I sold it.... For a T4!
She didn't like that either so after a week with my feet up in the sun.... I binned her on my return  much easier.
Now, after a mk2 GTI, lupo, 3 mk4 golfs,a Bora, a Passat and a fairly awesome 2 week build '74 1200 and my favourite, a T25 panel van Tiki Bus.... I'm about to end up with one of two busses...
1 a mix and mash of self repair panels and home brew fixes '71 dormy...
2 a LHD import tin top Westy (minus the interior) for a couple of grand more!

I'm thinking the LHD and be skint, then it's mostly span wring and glass and engine rebuild to sort

I'm looking forward to getting back into AIRCOOLED and having a bit of banter 8)

Cheers Lee.... It's a done deal, LHD tintop I'd down to me 8)
Can't afford to do Owt to it yet, but there is plenty of rat turds to clean out and keep me busy

Just so long as you don`t want to get anywhere too quickly, you should be OK !
There`s a few on here that tow all manor of things, but that usually leads to wanting more ponies pushing things along

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,, And a big big welcome back bud

Hi Gavin,, Glad you`re back here bud, you`ve missed out on some of my adventures too  Check out a thread on here `Ozziedog goes topless` That`ll make you laff

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, And me

Sweeeet. Nice one mate.

Elvis had a 1600 with twin weber 36's and that pulled the teardrop and trailer tent no bother. Took a while to slow down though

Nice bus! Is that the one that had the rear panel removed for a V6 conversion? If it is I very nearly bought it! Lovely van either way!

Aye that's the one, I've had my eye on it for a while now but it's took until now for the bus gods to party on down

Mint! Mine came from those guys - the one you've got was bang on budget and exactly what I wanted - but then I saw the one I ended up with and knew it was meant to be! You've got a nice bus there! Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Cheers matey, I've known Michael and Steve for years, wouldn't go anywhere else 8)
As for plans..... Patina, engine rebuilt and fitted, wiring, basic interior and roll 8)

RIGHT!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL USERNAME!! I REMEMBERED THE DETAILS :msn4: :msn4:
sorry for shouting
if a mod can delete the bertie-bus one that would help!
i'll start a resto thread when i get the bus next week, this weekend i shall be drinking beer, wine, shots, whatever else i get offered at Dubs 'int Dales!!

I'm from Leeds - They'll remember the yellow handprint bus/George - I pestered them about all sorts for a few weeks after buying it and still drop them a message when I'm missing bits!

I wasn't even looking for a bus until I got chatting to Michael, he didn't need to do much talking to convince me to sell my UK shell and buy an import that didn't need £3k+ of welding.

I really was close to buying that bus you've got - I really love it, I was torn but the rear panel situation put me off because I can't weld for ****!
