Indicator Not Cancelling??

Indicators don't cancel on my new bus, had a look in there but not sure what is missing?? steering wheel is defo on the correct way round, any got a pic of what it should like maybe??

Check the switch hasnt slid down the steering column slightly and lost contact with the canceling ring on the back of the steering wheel.

I have the same problem. Not investigated a fixed yet so watching with interest.

Did it cancel previously? If not is the cancel ring present on the bottom of the steering wheel? This is a metal disk held on by three screws with a tab that sticks out that performs the cancel.

Also when you say the wheel is on the correct way round how do you know? Is it possible it's on 180 degrees out meaning that the cancel tab is now on the RHS ?

As an aside I have the opposite problem with the switch not sticking in position and am sick of messing with it :roll:

Ok so the wheel is defo on the right way round, and the cancelling tab is in place and on the L/H side.

I took the gubbins out of the indicator unit, and the two tabs that move don't seem to move as they should (see video), I assume they should stick out as much they do in Pic #1? (i pulled the into this position) so they will connect with the cancelling tabs??, maybe they are worn and no longer work as they should, or that a pin/bolt/something is missing?? any ideas??

I think that there should be two springs, one on each side attached to the prongs at the bottom. This would then cause the arm to snap back into position when the cancel tab hits.

thinking back to taking them apart in the past, springs do sound familiar,, hmmm..
