I bought a 1600 microbus that has decided to not start at various times when hot or cold. It has a brand new carb fitted with original air filter set up. It is sparking on all plugs perfectly. The coil is putting out constant supply. The fuel is also getting through ok. When it's driving it drives perfectly.

This intermittent failure to start is a major pain in the you know whats.

Any help?

Cheers

It turns over fine just won't fire. All power to the plugs are there, the coil has power. It just doesn't start.

have you checked ya points gap? had a similar problem on ours last year. reset the points, and bobs your uncle. :D

Is the electric choke working ok and set up? The normal way to start from cold is two quick full presses on the accelerator then try and start it.
