IIRC there was a feature on a driveway resto of a Dormobile in last issue of Camper & Commercial (unless it was a previous issue of C&B...?) and the guy had done lots of mods to update the van including fitting intermittant wipers, so it can be done but I've no idea whats involved, probably a new wiper motor, switch & relay...? Others will give you a better answer than I can, but essentially anything can be done its just a matter of time, effort and money!

motorfactors used to sell a dash mounted module withthe wiper feed going to it, maybes a type 4 wiper relay could be used with a stock vw rotational switch on the dash

Did it on my dormy many years ago. A wiper delay unit from accessory shop was used.

There are two types.

The cheap type simply supplies and cuts power - but on a bay this wont work.

The bay wiper motor, when in park mode, uses earth braking to stop the motor running on beyond the park point and re starting its sweep.

Hence you need the intermittent wiper unit with a relay that mimics the operation of the wiper switch, so that when the wipers reach park position the motor circuit runs to earth.

Hope this makes sense.

If you cant find one of these units for sale you could strip an intermittent wipe unit from a scrap vehicle. I think most modern cars and vans use the earth brake principal nowdays. :)

works for 72 on it says so you may be lucky. I tried it on my 72 and it didn't work but maybe yours is later in year and has different wiring.
