Introducing Dora - 1967 RHD Bay

Hello, I'd like to introduce Dora - my cute 1967 Bay I think she is one of the first RHD bays in the UK - registered in November 1967 - and since I'm fairly new to the VW community I'd really appreciate any tips on how I can find out more about my bus! Cheers! Lana

Do you have a picture of the M code plate :mrgreen: post it up and we can see all the details of your van :wink: its behind the passenger seat on the bulk head or on the drivers side or both! :mrgreen:

Hello folks Sooooo excited about joining this forum - soooo much to see

8) Thanks for the welcome and the advice! Dora is currently staying at my boyfriends parents (our drive is not big enough, rubbish!) - but I'll be seeing her next weekend and will take a pic of the M plate. Really want to find out more about her!!!

It may be worth contacting VW for the birth certificate, not particularly cheap though....quite an interesting item to hold with your van....

Hi, I contacted the DVLA and asked for a form VQ7 which if you fill in and send them a fiver they will send you a list of previous owners. I then sent a standard letter to all of them just to try my luck and got two replys, both from really nice folks who were the first and second owners and told me of their various adventures , the first owners even sent some pic's from 1968 on their first trip. I hope this helps and best of luck.
