Is this bus raised or are the wheels smaller?

Hi, have this pic in my collection for a while but never saw this bus (yes it's a late bay  ) anywhere.
Must be a US or Aussie bus judging by the background.

In my mind I want a baja bus but not really raised too much (wanna be able to get it in my garage)
I just like the stance and also the wheels (mercedes? or T3 caravelle?)

If anyone has more pics of this bus I'd like 'em

Also I wonder if there are "wider" rear arch panels available or do you guys roll the arches? It just seems to me there's not much to roll ..?
I see the wider rear arches alot but never as a panel you can buy, or am I wrong?

Any tips are appreciated (I'm a bit unexperienced in body/lifting/lowering mods but did read the offroad topics on here and the samba)

How do peeps raise their suspension on these baha type buses?

Lower the beam? alter the spindles on for the frt?.... what about the rear?

Ant much like slamming a bus You just reverse it ;) So at the rear You would remove the rear spring plates and click them down two notches ,Thereby increasing the torsional stiffness I.e raising it ;) At the front you can cut and turn the beam Up and or put adjusters in on the front of the beam to raise it. All this combined with heavy gas off road shocks and big tyres will raise the bus into an off road stance . But having driven quite high stock buses I wouldnt want to drive a raised bus

P.s Is this a new stance for Frank, Lmfao .......

wheels are mercedes is my guess

as for the stance looks standard to me and think it could be down to smaller wheel/tyre combo, something doesnt look quite right though :)

Now that I've been working on the bus yesterday (no engine, no interior) I think it has no engine and maybe he lowered the rear spring plates a few notches?
There's no exhaust visible.

So how about those wider wheel arches in the back? Just roll it or what?

I'm sure nate is right theres definitely no engine and possibly no interior.

My bus is in the same state and it looks even higher than this one  .

The rear arches look like stock post-71 Microbus to me. No point in widening them for that set-up.

Actually I'm pretty sure to go the Baja-route more or less, and I'm gonna cut the rear wheel arch to kinda match the front,
so I can run 15" Merc steelies (dead cheap) with some BFG's (lot less cheap  ) without raising it.
Gonna look sweet with a westy roof, rear splitty bumper with towel rails (looking for one), tow bar (have it) and some searchlights

This pics gives you an idea of how I want the arches, sent the guy an email to find out how he did it, dunno if it's easy or not because (again) the one in the pic is a late bay...

These any use?

Hi Loxy, these have been in my collection for a long time already but it's only just a few days ago that I really made up my mind.
Those busses are a legend on their own already both here and on the samba :p
