Well after about a year of the garage being used as a store I have managed to clear it out to get back on the van.... and I return to the same issue when I left it..! (I was hoping some magic VW elves was going to sort it)
Anyway, long story short I bought my 1971 bay on the premis that the bodywork was 80% done.... it was, just not very good and this is one of the issue I am now faced with. The bottom of the Drivers A post is 10mm too far forward..! HELP..!
I first thought to cut the welds around the post and pul it back and re-weld but I have the issue of the chassis below.. has anyone else had something like this?
I attached 2 pictures.. one of the dimensions and the other showing the gap... what do I do to overcome this??
