The website has a load of VWs on it, most of them are from US for sale sites.
They hack an Ebay account, steal an ad and put it on ebay. They then tell you you can buy the car (at a really great price) and they will ship it with a 3 week guarantee (supposedly from ebay and uses fake mails claiming to be from ebay) and invoice you for the car. You pay the deposit (few hundred quid) and then they disappear. You are out of pocket by a few hundred, but nt a few K so you can live with your stupidity...
They also use hacked bank accounts for transferring the money into, so if you ask them to re-invoice you or you take longer than 24 hrs to pay, they will make up some excuse and change the bank details. Quite a complex fraud and something Ebay should really look into as they are using Ebay to facilitate and also use Ebay's good name (ha ha ha) to claim it is a cash back insurance...
